Why We Keep Going

For too many, education programs are disconnected from what is needed in today's world. For too many, the high quality programs are simply out of reach. Edukita exists to change this, and its founders decided to dedicate their full attention into solving this problem. Edukita aspires to provide educational experiences that are useful, engaging, and accessible so every young person will have the opportunity to build a compelling future for themselves.

Since our funding, we've served thousands of students across the country and we're just getting started.

The Gap We Couldn't Ignore

Early in their journey, they quickly recognized the barriers that many families face when they tried to find productive ways to spend their time in between school and home. Although they were eager to develop instrumental skills – such as problem solving, communication skills, and confidence – they didn't have good options. A lot of after-school programs are only exam prep focused. Most high-quality, progressive programs come with inaccessible price tags. As a consequence, most families are stuck with video games, social media, and other unproductive means to keep themselves occupied.

How It All Began

Edukita was founded with a simple belief that high quality education should be accessible to all.

It started as a part-time project during the pandemic while its founders still had full-time commitments – Peter Gumulia was still at Harvard Business School and Sean Widjaya was full-time at Airbnb. During this challenging time, they decided to start Edukita out of their shared passion for education and talent development – and their shared gratitude for educational and work experiences they've had.

About the role

This is a hands-on operational role suited for someone who enjoys being on the ground and making things run smoothly. You will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of our offline centers, ensuring facilities are well-maintained, SOPs are followed, and operational issues are resolved quickly.

You’ll work closely with Branch Managers, OB staff, vendors, and HQ teams to ensure every center delivers a high-quality experience for our students.

What We’re Looking For

  • Highly mobile and willing to visit multiple centers across JABODETABEK (All Edukita Centers)

  • Strong communication and coordination skills

  • Problem solver with a practical, can-do mindset

  • Detail-oriented and comfortable handling on-ground operational issues

  • Experience in general affairs, operations, procurement, or retail/education centers (preferred)

  • Comfortable overseeing OB/cleaning staff and vendors

  • Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple priorities

  • Basic proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel for simple reporting

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular center visits to ensure facilities, equipment, and SOPs are up to standard

  • Work closely with Branch Managers to troubleshoot and resolve daily operational concerns

  • Oversee OB tasks and overall facility cleanliness; support onboarding and routine quality checks

  • Handle GA and procurement needs including supplies, vendor coordination, maintenance, and repairs

  • Support new center openings through site checks, setup assistance, and vendor follow-up

  • Gather on-ground observations to inform operational improvements and decision-making

  • Prepare simple operational reports for the Operations & Strategy Lead

  • Collaborate with Academic, Marketing, HR, and Finance teams to ensure centers receive needed support
